Exclusive Swedish Fragrances
Asked to list the most popular Swedish exports perfumes would hardly make the shortlist. But the Nordic country has more to offer than, for example, a blue-and-yellow-branded market-monopolizing flat-pack giant. Pana Dora comes to mind, a brand that is still an olfactory insider tip. But that could soon change, because the Swedish fragrance brand does, indeed, have what it takes to become a player of note in the industry. That would add fine fragrance to the list of things that people think of when talk turns to Sweden.
Founded in 2019 in the Swedish city of Emmaboda, the brand now boasts an extensive collection of individualistic creations. Pana Dora is the brainchild of Syrian-born perfumer Ibrahim Al-Zouabi who immigrated to Sweden in 1988. Al-Zouabi spent several decades working for major companies internationally, so the new brand is based on a wealth of solid professional experience.
Each individual creation is inspired by the long history, rich culture and stunning, diverse landscape of Sweden. Each significant place is assigned its own scent, and the olfactory journey takes us back to the 17th century, a golden age in Swedish history. The Syrian origin of the founder contributes additional cultural influences to the perfume conceptions.
The emblematic stag’s head logo, the names of the fragrances and the scents themselves all make further reference to Sweden. Pana Dora stands in equal measure for quality, originality and timeless sophistication.
