Ever since 1760, when James Henry Creed founded his business in London, the perfumery tradition has been passed down in the family. CREED is now one of the oldest perfume houses in the world.

In 1854 the enterprise moved from London to Paris, mainly under the auspices of Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, who wanted to have her favorite perfumery closer to court. In former times, personal scents were the sole preserve of high-ranking persons, including royals. Customers of Creed were all members of this exclusive cohort. And the traditional perfume house can still boast queens, princes and stars of stage and screen among its loyal clientele. Film legends, including Marlene Dietrich, Cary Grant and Gary Cooper, had already brought this French perfume tradition to Hollywood decades ago. Frank Sinatra, Paul Newman, Robert Redford, David Bowie and Madonna are or were all big fans of the select Creed scents.

The collection «Les Royales Exclusives» is a composition of the finest ingredients from throughout the world. For 250 years, Creed has created timeless scents for men and women, for example the bestselling women’s fragrance «Jardin D'Amalfi» and the men’s scent «Pure White Cologne». The perfumes are blended by hand and filled into bottles decorated with golden ornamentation, a product of the world’s leading flacon designer Pochet du Courval.
