Form Follows Function
Andrew Cinnamon and Charlie Stackhouse founded the New York design studio Cinnamon Projects in 2014. Their objects combine fragrance and design: Exquisite incense sticks are held in place by functional cylinders made of semi-precious stones and/or brass elements – in a minimalistic design that combines ancient scent rituals and natural materials to create a whole new aesthetic form. This clear expression is a brainchild of the two creative heads that draws on their combined background in architecture, graphic design, photography and sculpture, and many years of activity in the luxury market. Their collection of sensuous, emotionally moving perfumes, hand-made Japanese-style incense sticks and objects to burn them is growing apace and has an enthusiastic following of collectors the world over.
