Next Level Anti-Aging: Switzerland x Korea
Since1998, the brand Swiss Perfection has garnered much attention for its superlative skincare products, all “Made in Switzerland”. The naturally based brand from Montreux promises intensive cellular regeneration – most recently with a focus on exosome therapy. As someone who has followed the innovative step changes in the industry with great interest, I view this as an extremely exciting development. The latest episode in this successful series – I like to call it ‘ When Switzerland met Korea’ – unites Swiss precision with cutting-edge Korean research. Always the center of attention: the root of the beautiful Iris Germanica.

The Fascinating Iris
The Swiss Perfection story is intimately interwoven with the story of the 700-year-old Château de Vullierens. Situated high above Lake Geneva, its 30 hectares of gardens are unique in Switzerland and a real magnet for visitors. The estate also houses a huge iris garden that offers a breathtaking spectacle to those who visit when the flowers bloom in May.
This jewel of a garden was created in the 1950s. The surgeon Dr. Bernard Bovet de Mestral, the father of the current owner, had just inherited the Château de Vullierens and relocated there from San Francisco with his wife Doreen, who was a great admirer of the iris. On her initiative tens of thousands of iris blubs were assembled from all over the world and planted in a section of the vast grounds. They grew beautifully. The couple was particularly taken with the Iris Germanica, a perennial plant that blooms every spring, becoming stronger and more robust each year.

A Root with Regenerative Potential
As a passionate botanist and breeder, Dr. Bernard Bovet developed many new types of iris. In his role as a leading scientist at a research laboratory in Montreux he concentrated on the regenerative powers of the rhizomes of the large bearded iris known as Iris Germanica. He postulated that the rootstocks of the most robust type of iris displayed transmissible regenerative characteristics more powerful than anything used to date. Under his leadership Swiss scientists spent decades researching the iris plant, repeatedly discovering new groundbreaking advantages within its cellular structure.
The team around Bovet first pinned their hopes on live iris cells deployed to regenerate the existing cellular material of the skin. This was joined in the 1990s, with the birth of the Swiss Perfection brand, by stem cell regeneration, which delivers a significantly broader spectrum of action. The skin’s own stem cells are stimulated to generate new cellular material, not only in the epidermis but also in the deeper dermal layers below.

For the current line Swiss Perfection has isolated four high-performance, particularly skin-friendly active ingredient complexes, which have now been patented as well. Cellular Active IRISIA™, Cellular Active INTENSE IRISIA™, Cellular Active INTENSE IRISIA DEJ™ and – right on the cutting edge – Cellular Active IRISIA Exosome™ form the basis of skincare products perfectly attuned to the needs of the skin. These actives are deployed in various combinations in all the products that comprise this extraordinary, naturally based brand. The regenerative effects are spectacular and sustainable in equal measures.

The industry, in fact, now views exosomes as the key to the future of skincare.
Exosomes: a Beacon of Hope
It is very much in keeping with the brand legacy that Swiss Perfection, an expert in epigenetic skincare of many years’ standing, has now become one of the first brands worldwide to set its sights entirely on exosome therapy. This development is undeniably also related to the South Korean Shinsegae Group’s acquisition of Swiss Perfection in 2022. Switzerland, however, remains the research and manufacturing base, while the brand also profits from intensive Korean exosome research, which is currently advancing in leaps and bounds. The industry, in fact, now views exosomes as the key to the future of skincare. The microscopic membranous bubbles released by the plasma membrane of various cells carry out numerous biological functions: They play an important role in intercellular communication and contain signal proteins, miRNA (microRNA) molecules and growth factors that are key to cellular regeneration and repair. A 50 ml jar of RS-28 Rejuvenation Cream, for example, contains 50 billion Iris exosomes, with which the formulation achieves regenerative effects unparalleled to date.

The skin regeneration success of Swiss Perfection can well and truly be classified as «next-level anti-aging skincare». I am overjoyed that we are able to personally present this forward-looking brand to you at Spitzenhaus. My recommendation: come visit us and get to know the products at your leisure in our pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. And should you happen to be in the Lake Geneva area in May, don’t miss the opportunity to experience for yourself the magnificent iris bloom at the Château de Vullierens!
