Vegan, Green, Sustainable - and Colorful!
«I’m a nail polish junkie», says Nina Skarabela, co-founder of OZN . But it wasn’t just the love of fashion, design and colors that prompted the professional graphic designer to establish the nail polish line OZN in 2015, together with David Gerrlich. Environmental protection and sustainability are equally motivating factors. And 90 percent of the ingredients in OZN nail polish – including wood, potatoes, beetroot, spelt, cane sugar and corn – are, in fact, from sustainable agriculture.
All formulations are vegan. OZN eschews ingredients conventionally used in nail polish, but are now thought to have negative health effects. The packaging is also designed for sustainability: the caps are made of compostable lignin, the bottles of recycled glass. Cardboard and paper for packaging are either recycled or certified sustainable. The application brushes are made of bio-based polyamides. With 60+ nail polish colors (with brushes in two strengths), base and top coat, treatment oil, nail polish remover and nail files, the OZN range has all bases covered.
