Fornasetti Roomscent

Artisanal Craftsmanship

Piero Fornasetti founded his atelier in the 1940s in Milan. The legacy he left was more than just a style: it was a visual vocabulary that his son Barnaba Fornasetti then brought to international renown in the form of home accessories, furniture, porcelain and art objects. Every detail is crafted according to original methods; every surface treated with attentive care.

The most prominent Fornasetti motif is the face of Lina Cavalieri, a celebrated soprano and silent film actress of the early 1900s. Piero Fornasetti never met her, yet she was the muse to which he devoted hundreds of design variations; her doe-eyed, slightly baffled look permeates the collection.

This distinctive visual language lives on in the scented candles with their precious porcelain vessels. In addition to other motifs, here, too, we find another iteration of the iconic Lina Cavalieri. The candles were cast using traditional handcraft techniques, the natural wax processed according to the same methods that have distinguished the atelier since its founding. Theses candles, available in a choice of three fragrances, transform daily life into poetry.
