Eternal Journey

Pierre Ravan spent decades putting people in a state of mind in which the world outside all but disappears. He was the resident DJ at the legendary Pacha in Ibiza, the club that opened in a little finca on the island in 1973 and went on to become one of Europe’s most influential nightclubs. There he learned early on that memories are preserved in sounds and smells.

Eternal Journey comprises six creations that oscillate between quiet contemplation and active experience. Pierre created them to accompany the wearer throughout the day, in the rhythm of the cycle of a never-ending journey. These fragrances take wearers back to places long since forgotten. Submerged scent memories spontaneously resurface with precision.

Pierre never felt his relationships to club culture, spirituality and perfumery to be a contradiction. Smells and sounds function along the same lines: both bypass reason and appeal directly to feelings and memories. At Eternal Journey the senses work together: these are scents that are smelled and head alike.
