Parfumeur du Grand Hôtel depuis 1881
When César Ritz took the helm of the Grand Hôtel de Monte Carlo in 1881 his aim was ambitious: to redefine the luxury hospitality trade. To realize his vision he assembled a team of extraordinary craftsmen: a young cook, Auguste Escoffier, a tailor, a florist, a shoemaker - and a perfumer by the name of Nestor Moëhr.
Under the arcades of the Grand Hôtel Nestor Moëhr began presenting fine fragrances to the esteemed hotel guests. The Parfumerie de Monte Carlo was born, word of which soon spread far beyond the little principality of Monaco.
Fast forward to 2026: with the revival of the Moëhr brand brothers Vincent and Nicolas Poylo are writing a new chapter in its history, with fragrances poised in an elegant balancing act between top-notch culinary arts and the art of perfumery.
After several years of research, Moëhr now presents a collection of six eaux de parfum based on the time-honored creed of short, clear formulas, advanced extraction techniques and the finest ethically sourced raw materials.
The intention is unambiguous: the brothers remain true to history while bringing the bygone era of the grand hotel “back to the future”.
