Professor Augustinus Bader is one of the world’s leading lights in the field of stem cell and biomedical research. He heads the Institute of Applied Stem Cell Biology and Cell Technology at Germany’s University of Leipzig and is considered one of the top experts worldwide in the fields of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. His early medical career took him to various areas of general medicine and also cardiac surgery. But he really found his calling in the work with burn victims. His search for better methods of treating severe disfiguring burn injuries led to his particular expertise in the field. Over the last 30 years, Professor Bader has patented over 200 technologies and written 180 articles on the subject. In 2017 Professor Bader established the Augustinus Bader Gruppe as a vehicle for sharing his research and findings with others across the globe. This coincided with the launch of Bader’s now-famous cream, which has since taken the world by storm.
