In the year 2000, master perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena launched The Different Company. The brand’s first fragrance creations were an expression of the founder’s signature “minimalistic” style. When, in 2004, Jean-Claude Ellena was appointed house nose at Hermès, he put the reins of his company in the capable hands of his still young daughter, Céline, she, too, is a trained perfumer. With an abundance of talent, creativity, charm and discernment she now heads the firm. Over the years, more than 20 fragrances have been created, and they all live up to the name of the brand. The scents from The Different Company stand in clear contrast to the mainstream: compelling perfume profiles defined by the quality of their ingredients and the virtuosity of their two master creators.
